Diane Wright, PhD, HCLD
Diane Wright is the Lead Embryologist and Lab Director who will collaborate with our Reproductive Endocrinologist to help our patients start a family. Dr. Wright will direct all of the clinical activities in Aspire’s state-of-the-art embryology and andrology labs, ensuring the quality of clinical operations and outcomes, and driving Aspire’s mission to achieve the highest bar in experience, science, and medicine.
Dr. Wright earned both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science and a Master of Science Degree in the Physiology of Reproduction from Texas A&M University. She went on to earn her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk.
Dr. Wright began her career in 1991 as a Research Associate in reproductive medicine at Texas A&M Research Park. She went on to serve five years as an Embryologist with the Assisted Reproductive Technologies Program at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Just prior to joining Aspire, she was making great strides at Harvard Medical School as the Director of Massachusetts General Hospital Fertility Center Embryology and Andrology Laboratories. There she served as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology, implemented the Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis program in the lab, and helped to double the size of the fertility program. During this time, Dr. Wright also served as the Off-Site Laboratory Director, IVF and Andrology/Endocrinology Laboratories at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Wright has been awarded numerous research grants, has published more than 25 articles in the area of reproductive medicine, and is an active member in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the New England Fertility Society. She is certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD), Embryology and Andrology.
