“My husband I had struggled with fertility for years and egg donation was our last option to build the family that we dreamed of.”
— Aspiring Parent
“During the process of becoming an egg donor, I learned so much about myself. Not only was I able to help a family, but the compensation allowed me to pay off my student loans and get a jumpstart on life!”
— Christine, Egg Donor
“Becoming an egg donor was something I had thought about for years and after looking around for clinics to work with I found aspire fertility. It has been such an amazing experience working with these women who care so much about my health and wellbeing during the egg donation process. Donating eggs has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences. I am so grateful for this team and for being able to be a part of the journey for these families to grow.”
— Anonymous, Egg Donor
“I initially approached egg donation with a fair amount of skepticism. Like many people, I had questions and hesitations. From the very beginning, Aspire Fertility made that possible. Their team was kind, patient, and genuinely understanding. This helped ease my concerns and allowed me to feel confident moving forward. What began as uncertainty slowly turned into a sense of purpose as I realized the profound impact this experience could have on others.

Egg donation also had a very real and practical impact on my life. Being able to pay off my student debt lifted a significant financial burden and gave me the freedom to focus on my future. With that pressure removed, I was able to move forward in my career with clarity and momentum. The support I received from Aspire Fertility made the process feel not only manageable, but empowering.

Above all, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Knowing I was able to help others build their families while also advancing my own life is something I will always carry with me.”

Egg Donor Requirements

If you'd like to be considered as an Aspire Fertility egg donor, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Women must be between 21 and 31 years old (you can donate up to age 34)
  • Body mass index (BMI) under 30
  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED; college preferred
  • No nicotine or drug use
  • Have regular menstrual cycles

Step 1 | Complete an Online Application

First, you’ll have to fill out a brief initial application. If approved, you can expect to complete a more in-depth questionnaire, including photographs, and extensive information about your personal and family medical history, and your interests and hobbies. Think of this step as your best chance to share all that is unique and compelling about yourself with our team and prospective future parents!

Step 2 | Phone Interview and Medical Screening Process

Once you’ve completed the online questionnaire and your first phone interview, qualified candidates will be scheduled to begin their screening process. You can expect a vaginal ultrasound and bloodwork to evaluate ovarian reserve, which is your number of healthy eggs. You’ll also undergo an array of genetic testing and infectious disease testing, a thorough physical examination, and psychological testing and evaluation.

Step 3 | The Stimulation Cycle

Assuming your eligibility requirements are satisfied, and you are approved to donate your eggs, the next step is to schedule a stimulation cycle and egg retrieval. During the stimulation cycle, which takes about two weeks, you will self-administer fertility medication to stimulate the production of eggs.

Step 4 | The Egg Retrieval Stage

When your body is sufficiently ready, you will be scheduled for egg retrieval. With this minimally invasive, outpatient procedure, which typically takes about 20 minutes, you’ll be under IV sedation.

What to Expect During Screening

At Aspire Fertility San Antonio, your health, comfort, and well-being are always our top priority. Here’s what you can expect during this step-by-step evaluation:

  • Bloodwork: We’ll check your hormone levels and overall health.
  • Ovarian Reserve Testing: An ultrasound and lab work help estimate how many eggs your body is likely to produce.
  • Genetic Testing: A simple blood test to look for any inherited conditions.
  • FDA Requirements: Screening infectious diseases like HIV, hepatitis, and other STIs, as well as a physical exam.
  • Drug & Nicotine Screening: A standard part of our medical evaluation.
  • Mental Health Evaluation: A licensed professional will walk you through the emotional aspects of egg donation, so you feel informed and prepared.
  • Donor Team Interview: A chance to meet with our team, ask questions, and share your goals for the donation process.

Our San Antonio team is here to support you every step of the way—making sure you feel confident, cared for, and comfortable throughout the screening process.
